Understandably that you are homesick! Lovely mosaic with all the precious lace...
Stating that: 'even it took us 13 hours to get back...' is of course nothing compared to the vast distances here in the USA. We have just planned a trip with friends to Ontario, Canada and take the scenic route on the way over and that is 23 hours driving and 16 on the way back to Georgia!
