My friend Jeannette collects embroideries...and not just a few to decorate the hall with...no...hundreds of them to make curtains, tapestries, to furnish her chairs with and to do who knows what with them. When we are at a flea market and she sees one...she HAS te have it...especialy the very shabby ones are favourite. 
Mijn vriendin Jeannette spaart borduurwerken, en dan niet zomaar 3 of 4 om gezellig in het trappengat te hangen, nee....honderden...om er ooit gordijnen van te kunnen maken....of een bank mee te bekleden.....of een tapijt van te kunnen maken...of Joost mag weten wat ermee te doen. Als ze er eentje tegenkomt op een rommelmarkt die ze nog niet heeft wordt het zwart voor haar ogen en MOET ze het hebben....ik kan op zulke momenten beter elders op de markt verpozen want anders zou het bijna oorlog worden....

Oh my God! These needle point embroideries are fantastic! I used to make them many years ago...it was relaxing! Now I've changed...I relax more painting os sewing!

Hey Sylvia, alles kleurt weer prachtig roze hier. Leuk al dat borduurwerk, doet me aan vroeger herinneren, mijn oma borduurde ook allemaal mooie bloemen op kussenhoezen en truien en als ik dit zo zie vind ik het jammer dat daar niets van bewaard gebleven is.
Ziet er allemaal weer prachtig uit.
