For this Pink Saturday post (hosted by Beverly from http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my-weblog/ ) I went through the collection of old postcards I inherited from my grandmother. She never threw away one single card in her life so...a lot of cards went through my fingers last week...I love looking at the names of the persons that sent them and the nice comments on them...Voor deze post van Pink Saturday (de link in het engelstalige deel hierboven) heb ik weer een berg overhoop gehaald...en wel de collectie oude kaarten die ik van mijn oma heb geerfd....mijn oma was net zo erg als ik en kon niets weggooien. Ze bewaarde alle kaarten die ze in haar 90 jarige bestaan mocht ontvangen en dat waren er heel wat...ik heb genoten van het lezen van de teksten achterop en de aandoenlijke verhaaltjes uit het computerloze tijdperk waarin per kaart gemeld werd dat moe nog steeds ziek was en Mien haar been ook niet wilde beteren.

Wat een feest die oude kaarten! Mijn oma op Texel was een schat, maar had een hekel aan alles wat ouderwets was.
Toen ik eens als kind bij haar logeerde, was ik samen met mijn zus naar het museum geweest, en kwam enthousiast terug, vol verhalen over de apparaten die we gezien hadden, een wringer, een karn-apparaat, etc..
Mijn oma werd bijna boos, want die goede oude tijd, vond zij een rottijd, dat mochten wij niet romantiseren.
Tja, als je boerin bent geweest met een heel groot gezin, dan begrijp ik dat nu wel...

wat leuk dat je die kaarten van je oma nog allemaal hebt. dat is het nadeel van deze computertijd, daar zullen nog weinig tastbare herinneringen aan overblijven.

Happy Pink Saturday! What a lovely gift to leave behind and cherish! I love old postcards. We just moved and were we use to live this antique store use to sell old post card. I would spend hours looking at what was written on the back! I thought that was always the fun part.

Wat leuk dat jij al die kaarten van je oma geërfd heb, ze zien er prachtig uit. Ik bewaar ook heel speciale kaarten en brieven en er zitten ook wel oudjes tussen, maar het is bij mij maar een hoedendoos vol.
Ik vond het leuk al die mooie kaarten te bekijken, je heb er weer iets moois van gemaakt.

oo..was het pink saturday? hmm..ik ken het niet, ik heb genoeg roze, had wel mee kunnen doen. ik vind je rozenkaarten echt prachtig en bijzonder dat je ze nog van je oma hebt. fijne zondag nog!

Prachtige collages heb je weer gemaakt van al die mooie kaarten. Wat leuk dat ze allemaal bewaard zijn gebleven, zo zie je maar dat je nooit te snel iets moet wegdoen.
Vooral om al die teksten eens terug te lezen lijkt me heel erg bijzonder. Jouw vorige post met de fragiele sneeuwklokjes was trouwens ook een beauty zeg, echt prachtig hoe jij voorwerpen in beeld kan vangen.
